    Link to statutory declaration DPS

    Hi,

Would appreciate if anyone has the link to the Statutory Declaration for DPS they could share please. An unresponsive past tenant left owing rent and having damaged various items. I can’t find the form on the DPS website The DPS have not responded to a message I sent them over 5 days ago and I gave up calling after twice being on hold over 20mins.
Also any recommendations please regarding other schemes given the DPS have very poor customer service. Thanks

IIRC, you log on to 'manage tenancy', if the tenant hasn't responded to the repayment request within the set time, a link is provided for you to print off the statutory declaration or request one to be posted to you.
You can also try phoning them to request the declaration (good luck with that!).

Explains the above process (frustratingly with no link to the form).

        What #2 says.
I have never had the option to print one.

Not made any better when they redesigned their website and broke literally every link on the site! (I can easily find it.... on my computer )

(Only cos I've just done one!)

I find the whole set up farcical but I know my way round the system and I'm too lazy to change.

However, I note that their "guide" says that it can be completed on-line.

I saw that, but can't see how it could be done online - part of the form is a confirmation of identity by someone legally qualified to do so, which can't be done online.

From recollection, there was an online option to request the form which was then posted to me.
I don't recall ever phoning the DPS about anything.
When I post, I am expressing an opinion - feel free to disagree, I have been wrong before.
Please don't act on my suggestions without checking with a grown-up (ideally some kind of expert).

I can see that it could be completed on-line and then printed for actually making the declaration.

That would avoid poor handwriting (like mine) and transcription errors (by using copy and paste from exiting documents).

For 10 years I've been working away from home during the week. I've lodged in other people's houses maybe 7 years of that on and off. 10 places, 2 really HMOs with a written lodgers agreement and not an AST, 3 written lodgers agreements out of the rest and the others very informal.

                      Good morning,

I am a live in landlord. I have a lodger who moved in beginning of May and has now told me that they would like to move out to live closer to their workplace. We made a verbal agreement; lodger is going to stay for 6 monts minimum, collected 200 deposit and lodger pays 200...

I bought one of them whilst I was working away from.home during the week and needed to do my company accounts. I bought it second hand off someone from work, who paid asda £32 for it at 11:30 pm on the day before his family were going on an easy jet...

                      Hello.
I need to get my rental property back as we wish to referb and sell. Are there any companies on here who can deal with the section 21 at a reasonable rate? It should be a fairly simple eviction.
Look forward to hearing from somebody
                      Thanks

                      Hello Members,

I find myself in a rather difficult situation. I rent out my property to four individuals on separate AST's.
My most recent tenant has been causing issues in the property, constantly argumentative, belittling and offensive comments.
                      All three tenants have individually...

I wish it doesn't happens but there is also a possibility that the proposed pre-action contact where the landlord have to strongly prove of have already tried all informal reconciling negotiations with tenant before proceeding for possessions might become mandatory by court. And if that happens then...
