    Mice bats

Mice are getting into the property most likely through holes in the roof that bats are getting in. I’ve been told I’m not allowed to block these holes and so the only way to control the mice is to lay poison in the loft to prevent them coming into the kitchen. Can anyone tell me please if I’m covered as a landlord by doing this? Thank you.

You would be breaking the law if the bats can also get to the poison.

The same applies with spring traps and ulrasonic deterents, you can't use them where bats are roosting.

You can use poison but it must be the solid blaoc type, enclosed in a bait station where the bats cannot access it.
You should only do this at certain times of year.

Try to contact your local Pest control at the council, they don't charge much (depending on the area).
