    Whilst I agree that self managing is in general a far better option, you should only follow this advice if you have the time and energy to do it properly. This means learning a lot about landlord and tenant law/issues and being prepared to invest the time in inspections, organising maintenance, re-letting, managing the tenancy etc.

        Agreed. BTL is not just an investment, it is also a business and like any business if you are going to run it you need to know what you are doing.
