    Certificate of Lawful Use Existing Development

    Dear All

    My property was originally a house that received planning permission for a conversion into 3 flats.

    The developer subsequently built 5 flats within the same envelope granted.

    I bought the property a couple of years after and have had it for 3 years myself.

    I have evidence to show it has been in its current form and inhabited consistently for over 4 years.

    Does this sound like it would qualify for a CLUED?

    After 4 years use as single dwellings then all 5 flats are now lawful under planning law, but could require building control approval unless that was done when the builder completed 5 units instead of 3.
