Hello, I live in a house that has been converted into 4 flats, the owner of each of the flats has a share of the freehold. My lease includes my flat and the full length of the garden outside of my flat. I have recently submitted an application for a single story extension and my neighbour above has requested if I would consider submitting a second application for a double story extension instead. My architect has said this is high risk for a number of reasons and our other neighbour has said he would refuse to sign this off but the upstairs neighbour is still very keen to use my extension in some way - perhaps a roof terrace. What I would like to understand is how her getting access to build above my extension would affect our leases and would she need to compensate me is some way for using land that falls within my lease to increase her floor space?
Neighbour wants to use my planned extension to build double story extension.

by issy_81I own two properties next door to each other on separate title deeds. Each have parking areas accessed from a shared driveway (both have full access rights over this shared area). I’m looking to swap the parking areas around so I maintain the double parking area from the other property and assign...

We weren't aware of this, and apparently they started works a few days ago. I was made aware of it today by our tenants as the neighbours builders...-

by NamasteI think about £7k. The neighbour was uncooperative so I needed a litigation solicitor and the matter was set to go to court, but my mother died in the middle of the dispute and I just couldn’t face a court action at that time. The party wall surveyor was useless as well; he was more responsive to...

Reply to permitted development for garageby pilmanPermitted development applies to land within the curtilage of a dwelling house.
You will need to make a planning application because your paddock on the other side of the road will not meet the legal definition of curtilage.
On another web-site this appeal was posted that was...-

by roywOr tell him you'll sell him 4 inches of your land for £10k. The footing will stick out further than the wall but it appears from the photo they won't be able to build the wall entirely on their own land?
The other option would be to charge him (payment in advance) for allowing them to do it from...-
