    Party Wall Agreement

    Hello
I'm doing an extension to my house.
I wasn't aware that i'd need a party wall for an extension - i thought this was for a loft, if i'm working on the actual joint party wall.
My neighbour says he wants me to contact his part wall surveyor - he call me today.
However, the brickwork is finishing tomorrow and the flat roof is going up next week.
Is is a legal requirement to get a party wall agreement?
Especially as i'm at the end of the extension work?
    Thanks

Whilst on this subject can anyone advise if drilling holes for a number of expanding bolts constitutes “Party wall works”?
    Thanks

Work you must tell your neighbour about
You must tell your neighbour if you want to:
    • build on or at the boundary of your 2 properties
    • work on an existing party wall or party structure
    • dig below and near to the foundation level of their property
The first question to answer is does the extension go onto the boundary?

It's a legal requirement to give a party wall notice.
