Advice on claim for legal expenses by landlord over missing Ground Rent

Hello, I'm hoping someone can offer some advice to help me and my sister. We inherited our Dad's flat a couple of years ago and I have been bills as and when they come in. Unfortunately, it seems that the landlord has been sending Ground Rent bills directly to the flat and we haven't seen these at all....

The lease probably has a clause which has an "address for service" and if they sent the demands to that address, then they will have served them appropriately. Realistically, you should have organised to collect post from the flat, if the flat address is the address for service, or set...

Extending Garage lease which is on separate lease to flat.

Hi, am selling my flat that has a long lease but the garage that comes with it has a separate lease which only has 41yrs left. Started the lease extension through the management company and got the quote from them for new length of lease and cost so process was all started.

If you lose you also pay the tenant's solicitor's costs, which could be thousands. Please bear in mind that the starting point here is that the RMC is not complying with its obligations as set out in the lease. There has to be an assumption that you will be lucky to win.

For a few years, to keep the service charge down, our RMC has externally re-decorated every 7 years instead of every 5, as stipulated by the lease. Where is the law to say Membership can be anything ? The service charge account is funded by the leaseholders and leaseholders collectively should always keep the service charge account under their control.
