Managing Agent A has ties to solicitor B. Block Company C has a flat owner D who was in arrears of, say, £1500.
A advises C that D must be taken to court. B runs up costs of say £8000 preparing case and in anticipation of S146 follow through....-

Reply to S146 manipulationby AndrewDodIf a freeholder incurs costs that a court does not say are recoverable from D, nor are they recoverable under the lease, then FH bears those costs out of their own pocket, or claims them from the "crook" (D). No reason other lessees should pay.
FTT would not be the first port...-

by Dan350Many thanks, it's encouraging to hear that placing an ad in the local press of the country where the freeholder's company is based might be sufficient to demonstrate to the FTT that we've done all we can to track the freeholder down. I'll get in touch with LEASE for further advice....

Reply to Lifetime Leaseby sgclacyIf the lease is a tenancy for life then it will cease on his demise and so would have no value as it reverts to the freeholder/head lessor....

by GaryBennI purchased my father in laws flat 20 years ago where he has life time tenancy. He is now needing to go into residential care due to dementia which has followed a medical assessment and report. Can i sell the property when he enters residential care or do i need to wait until he dies?
