An external water leak via a very short inward-curving pipe from an upstairs maisonette (owned by a freeholder, but inhabited by rental tenants) is pouring water down the outside wall of my kitchen (I am a leaseholder).

Hi, this may be an obvious question, but I own a share of the freehold in a Victorian house conversion. The split is 1/3 and 2/3 between the two freeholders. I have been sorting out the insurance and have billed the other freeholder for 2/3 but they say it should be 66%, which works out slightly cheaper....07-07-2022, 10:53 AM

Reply to Landlord insuranceOriginally I had the entire freehold but this was split when I sold my flat. This lease says 66.66% as they have 2 floors. The basement lease, formed in 1984 says 1/307-07-2022, 13:41 PM

Thanks, but such an incentive may land me in court!
The MA wants to wait for the Covid to clear so that an engineer can enter to fix the boiler, but I would like (in the immediate term) an external pipe fitted to channel this and any future water to the nearby drain hopper.

If they leave the filling loop on it's likely to break something in the boiler - can't remember what it is but my T did this and flooded the flat below. The Director of the MA tells me that I cannot turn the water off if the property is inhabited (no reason given).
