Can I sell leasehold flat? Received extension offer from L

    hi everybody,

i really need some help here to clarify matters..

i am ready to put my flat on the market after many months of trying to reach an agreement with the landlord for the lease extension.

we finally have agreed on the price and conditions, very roughly, by email, in dribs and drabs.

everything else is in place to go to market, the agent is standing there to put his sign up, except i dont have a formal agreement from the landlord.

isn't that going to leave me very vulnerable? what might happen if i go to market anyway?

it being october, i don't want to drag it out into the winter, so time is of the essence.

IF you served a formal Notice on L (s.42 of 1993 Act), you can:
    a. proceed to purchase extended Lease on terms agreed; or
    b. assign to P the benefit of the Notice.
