    New Soil Pipe

Hi all, i own a 3/4 bedroom flat on the 2nd floor of a mansion block. The soil pipes mostly run externally, down the side of 'internal' lightwells i.e. largely hidden from view. My flat and others above and below are only served by 1.5 bathrooms and could do with an extra toilet. I'd like to explore replacing one of the waste pipes on the outside facade of the building with a soil pipe to make this happen. The landlord is about to embark on a major works program including the overhaul of much of the external plumbing. I've seen the spec. of works, and it's all like for like replacement, however. Any thoughts on how to approach this ? As it is i am submitting an LTA to remove a load-bearing wall so would seem right to include in that just wanted to sound more proactive than simply demanding a extra WC! I thought of getting support from the other owners but also wanted to understand the issues in play and feasibility from freeholder's perspective. Thanks!
