Can I buy share of Freehold?

    Hello!

I live in a flat (total of 2) the downstairs flat is owned by L&Q (freeholder) and there is only one lease on the property, which is my top floor flat. Do I have a right to buy a share of the freehold?

The property is managed by the freeholder but they do not live in it (its owned by a company - L&Q) and downstairs they have housing association tenant in the flat below. I'm not sure if this effects things.

Thanks any advice would be greatly received.

no.there would have to be a lease on the other flat and both want to buy the FH.
Based on the information posted, I offer my thoughts.Any action you then take is your liability. While commending individual effort, there is no substitute for a thorough review of documents and facts by paid for professional advisers.
