    Should we sell a share of the freehold with the leasehold?

    Hello,
    My brother and I own a building divided into three flats, I own the leasehold on one flat and half the leasehold on another. My brother owns the remainder. The freehold belongs to a limited company that my brother and I are the directors of.
    I want to sell the flat that I own the whole leasehold on. As the title of the thread says should we sell a share of the freehold with the leasehold? or as we plan to sell all three eventually should we keep the leasehold until then? or should we just keep the freehold indefinitely?

      The only variation on that is with the intention of releasing your involvement, and sharing the work load is to allocate two shares to each flat, grant 2 to your brother 2 to the new owner and 1 each for your jointly owned flat.

      this still give you the majority control and the ability to ask the new buyer for a little cash to buy into your "third" of the free holding company
