    Landlord Offer to Tenants

I have a question which I hope some one can assist with.

I sent section 5 notices to my leaseholder tenants. They both acknowledged to say they want to buy. I instructed solicitors and so did they. They have taken so many months and now finally they have said they do not wish to buy the freehold.

My question is can I still charge them my legal costs. My solicitor says yes but i want to get second opinion as I dont want to upset them for no reason. We did not take a deposit from them but I dont expect I can demand that now.

I am grateful for your comemnts.

Yes you can seek your costs if they worked through the formal responses, and this was not an informal negotiation without undertakings.
Based on the information posted, I offer my thoughts.Any action you then take is your liability. While commending individual effort, there is no substitute for a thorough review of documents and facts by paid for professional advisers.
