    Purchase Freehold

A quickie question, if I wish to 'informally' make an offer to purchase the freehold, is it as simple of writing and making an offer or is there more to it, for example, does the freeholder then have to offer it top the other leaseholder(s) as well ?

Advice given is based on my experience representing myself as a leaseholder both in the County Court and at Leasehold Valuation Tribunals.

I do not accept any liability to you in relation to the advice given.

It is always recommended you seek further advice from a solicitor or legal expert.

Always read your lease first, it is the legally binding contract between leaseholder and freeholder.

If your price is acceptable, the freeholder must offer the freehold to the leaseholders at same price under RFR (right of first refusal). You can download free information and conditions of accepting under RFR from www.lease-advice.org
