    Long Leaseholder's Tenants Refusing Access

So after a long long wait to get all the money for some works on the property all done with Section 20 notices. The work commenced on Monday this week. Now work needed to be completed in 3 flats. The work was done in our flat the past few days. The flat opposite us upstairs has since the section 20 been let on an AST. This tenant is now refusing access for the work.

The long lease says that access has to be granted with 3 days notice. The long leaseholder is out of the country until the end of April, and has already given notice to the tenant to vacate by that date.

Can we force the tenant to give us access? Will we have to delay and possibly incur additional costs for the building work?

    Being a freeholder sucks sometimes!
