(1) When I used my letting agent to advertise my property they had loads of enquiries and only offered the tenant a 6 months lease, But am I correct in that they could have offered a 12 months lease. Instead.

by BeswickWith at least one deposit scheme, you have to log in and change the type of tenancy to 'periodic' once the AST term has ended.
That's what they're charging £50 for. Excessive, in my opinion, as it takes a couple of minutes to do....-

Reply to estate agent new lettings delaysI would go to the Estate Agency and ask to speak to the manager, Some firms when someone goes on holiday dont like passing on work to someone eles as they have to share the commission, Like solicitors where when one goes on holiday the job stops.

They've also done the advertising and the viewing, so you're going to owe them for that as well.
You've got some kind of contract with them, because you've agreed "something" and they've done some work....-
