So say the claim was for over 50K and god forbid there was another claim where I just found out that the subletting tenants dont have contents insurance because I asked them..who pays then?

For all except the biggest of claims, insurers operate time machines. They pay your claim out of your future premiums.

This is a common problem I find. Why did you have to claim on the insurance? Often it is in the long term better to pay for a repair and repair damage yourself than claim.

    Hi everyone!
We had to make a claim on the building insurance for water escape on a policy which has now increased the next years policy...it now seems harder to get a broker to provide quotes. Some are just saying no which seems odd or are we more of a risk as we are now subletting more as well? Any good brokers out there to try. We have been with Aviva...All help appreciated. Thank you.
