Hard to say, I'm not directly involved in any investigation. Our version of VB is a tad out of date, so maybe an update would be worth a try since nothing's really lost if it doesn't provide a cure.
Posts now require approval ?

There's a point where your regular respondents just stop bothering to respond to questions and this forum will die as a result. It wouldn't suprise me if we've already reached that point because I certainly can't be bother responding if every time posts get "unapproved".I am not a lawyer, nor am I licensed to provide any regulated advice. None of my posts should be treated as legal or financial advice.
I do not answer questions through private messages which should be posted publicly on the forum.

I don't know what I'm accidentally doing right, but it's obviously possible for the forum to work properly, which makes it much more frustrating that it isn't working for others.
And without a lot of great users who are no longer posting as much, a lot of people seeking help are going to be given fewer and wronger answers.
I'd be quite interested in understanding what the point of the forum is to it's sponsors in the first place, if they don't care that it's unravelling.
And also what the users who are leaving think I can do to support them.
When I post, I am expressing an opinion - feel free to disagree, I have been wrong before.
Please don't act on my suggestions without checking with a grown-up (ideally some kind of expert).

Interesting that my posts this morning in the Take a Break - for the less serious! thread have both gone straight to unapproved, while my posts elsewhere haven't.
I don't normally post there regularly.
I have only had one other post unapproved in the last few months. When I post, I am expressing an opinion - feel free to disagree, I have been wrong before.

Got this today - is there perhaps a filthy language filter?Screenshot_20220319-102053~2.pngI am legally unqualified: If you need to rely on advice check it with a suitable authority - eg a solicitor specialising in landlord/tenant law...

by DoricPixieCan the name of this board please be changed. The Department of Social Security hasn’t existed for over 20 years. It is now feasible that there are landlords who were born after this government department ceased to exist.

by DoricPixiejpkeates,
You can keep telling me but that doesn’t alter that comparing MOT to DSS is like comparing apples with oranges. You still get MOT test centres whereas you do not still get DSS offices. Some of us are not old enough to have ever stepped foot in a DSS office, branch or whatever...-

by jpkeatesI do keep telling you.
It was decided to keep the name MOT explicitly so as not to confuse people who'd got used to calling it an MOT.
Something they've looked at and arrived at the same conclusion several times since.
It's not some theory of mine, it's what happened....-

by DoricPixiePeople pronouncing Nike to rhyme with bike has always irritated me. The Greek Goddess of Victory’s name does not rhyme with bike! Grrrr!
I don’t know the reasons as to why MOT is still the term officially used in the legislation, maybe it is because people are used to it, it was way...-
