    Landlords responsibilities

    Who is responsible for the repairs to a multi fuel burner in a rented house. Me, the Tenant or the landlord?

    Landlord: ***

    Write (yes, write, keep copy) landlord, copy agent, keep copy letter about any & all repair issues using process and draft letter here...

    Do you have alternative heating? Any sensible landlord would arrange other heaters whilst awaiting repairs.

    *** It is landlord responsibility to provide heating facilities, and to fix if broken. However, should fault be due to tenant then landlord is at liberty to sue tenant or claim off deposit.
    I am legally unqualified: If you need to rely on advice check it with a suitable authority - eg a solicitor specialising in landlord/tenant law...

      I pretty much go with the definition that Mrs Mug posted above, so when I see someone accusing another forum member of ‘trolling’ then that is likely to attract my attention in a negative way for the person making the accusation.

      If I see a new member posting such an accusation openly...
