Dear Colleagues,
I need to book a property assessment for an EPC Certificate, Gas & Electrical Safety Cert.
Can anyone recommend a reputable assessor / company in West London, and what the fees should be for a three bedroom house - and what I should look for in the small print?....

Reply to Advice on conservatoryI have a 20 year old conservatory and it is also freezing in the winter. It also has a thin polycarbonate roof. Although it had a 6ft small single skin radiator which was useless as it was not big enough to warm the room up. I had a 10ft double skin radiator fitted (with thermostat) and it is big...26-01-2021, 17:41 PM

by poochhqI am renting out a house that has a conservatory on the back of it. The latest tenants are complaining that they haven't been able the conservatory lately because it has been too cold. And they are shocked that they can't use it year round. The conservatory is about 20 years old. It has a radiator in...23-01-2021, 21:21 PM

by jpucng62If, like me, you believe the EPC system is unfair and inaccurate and that raising many properties’ rating to a C will be impossible, please sign my petition and forward it to anyone else who might sign it. Thanks.

by jpucng62What we need is not to be penalised because we don't have gas. Any electric heater - storage or otherwise - can be run on green electricity, yet gas (which are told we must stop using) is the only realistic way to achieve a C. It just makes no sense!...26-01-2021, 15:29 PM

by CodgerPetition up to 30 now. Storage heaters would be good if we had enough green electricity.26-01-2021, 15:03 PM

by cohenThanks guys.
If there is an outhouse in the back garden which has plug sockets, is it compulsory in an EICR inspection to have that tested also? (even though it will be locked and any tenants will not have access to it )....26-01-2021, 13:15 PM -
Reply to Advice on conservatoryby andybenwThere is no need for a thermostatic valve to turn the radiator off, just a normal on/off valve. If it's seized then closing the lockshield valve with a spanner on the other end of the radiator will do the same job of turning the radiator off.26-01-2021, 12:58 PM
