    Replacement pilot light

Can anyone suggest a source for a replacement pilot light for a 40 year old back boiler ?
Considering changing to electric central heating ? Any comments ?

    Ebay?

Electric central heating will be extortionate to run, as it will be on full price electricity. You'd be better off changing to Economy 7 and getting some 2nd hand storage heaters connected to spur timeswitches in your main rooms.

I can suggest somewhere you might find one - but a link might mean being reported for spam again. Look for boiler spare direct. Also there are plumbersforums, asking on one of those might get you suggestions.

Storage heaters need topping up so you'll need supplementary heating if you go down that route.

Managed to find one. Changed gas engineer. Marvellous service and thorough work. Everything working beautifully and he saw no problem in getting nearly all of the parts.
